Back to school today. Nothing about it felt different from any other first day, which is strange to notice in hindsight — no sense that anything had shifted, even though by August I was already spending most evenings on this instead of anything else. Schedule's fine. AP Chem, AP US History, precalc, the usual load. Told Marcus a little about the transformer stuff at lunch, mostly to see if I could explain it without a whiteboard. Badly, is the answer. Need to find a better way to describe "attention" to someone who doesn't already have the vocabulary. Working theory: comparing it to how you skim a paragraph looking for the one sentence that matters, rather than reading every word with equal focus. Not perfect but better than what I said out loud today.
