State accepted me. Wasn't really in doubt — grades are good, it's not a reach school for me — but nice to have it official. Haven't told anyone outside the family yet, feels anticlimactic to announce something so expected. Been split on whether to even bother applying anywhere more "prestigious." Decided against it a while ago and I still think that was right. I don't need the name on a diploma, I need cheap tuition, my own hardware, and enough free time in the evenings to keep doing the actual work. State gives me all three. A more competitive school would probably give me none of them, plus a roommate. Winter break starts soon. Going to actually build the thing I sketched out in November — the experiment-history tool. More on that once there's something real to report.
