Watched the footage of Notre-Dame burning last night same as everyone, that spire coming down live on every feed at once. Never been to Paris, don't have any personal connection to the building, and still felt it in a way I wasn't expecting — something about watching eight hundred years of continuous existence take visible damage in real time on a phone screen. Graduation's next month. Feels like it should be occupying more of my headspace than it is. Mostly it's just a date on a calendar with the actual meaningful stuff — the Loop idea I've been circling for months now — taking up the real attention.
