Sister came by this weekend. Good visit, low-key, the kind we don't have as often now that she's got her own place and her own life going. Somewhere over dinner she asked, half-joking, "are you ever going to actually finish that thing you've been working on since I was in middle school." She's twenty-one now. She was twelve when this started. Didn't have a good answer. Said something noncommittal about it being "more of an ongoing thing than a project with an ending," which is true and also clearly not what she was actually asking. She let it go. She's good about not pushing on the one subject in my life I've never been forthcoming about. Nice weekend regardless. Wanted a normal entry on record, given how few of those I write these days.
