House voted to impeach this week, which dominated every TV in every room of the house for about three days, dinner conversation included. Also finals week for me, so I mostly experienced the entire thing in fifteen-minute bursts between study sessions. Not going to pretend I have deep political commentary here. Just noting that it happened during finals, which is a very specific and forgettable kind of overlap that probably describes most of what "living through history" actually feels like in the moment — big thing on the news, boring thing you personally have to do anyway, both happening at the same time, neither one canceling the other out. First semester of college, in the books. Grades fine. Loop's still running most nights, still mostly dumb, still occasionally not.
