Retrieval system's been stuck at roughly the same performance for a few weeks now, no matter what I tune. Not getting worse. Not getting better either. Frustrating in a specific way that active failure isn't — at least a crash tells you where to look. Going to step back from it for a bit, work on something else, come back with fresh eyes in a week or two. Sometimes that's the actual fix.
